In France, around the holidays, oranges decorated with cloves were known as Pommes d'Ambre. This beautiful and fragrant tradition dates back to the Middle Ages, as the unique scent was thought to keep illnesses out of homes. Today the tradition has somewhat been lost, but Gilded brings back the memorable fragrance and an air of nostalgic celebration to your home this holiday season.

For this limited edition candle we made our first gold foil label. The exotic and luxurious scent called for a fancy label and the idea of Gilded (meaning covered in gold) was born.
